Bucks Tenancy Strategy

Local authorities are required to produce a tenancy strategy, as stated in the Localism Act 2011. A tenancy strategy is a document which outlines what local authorities expect from registered providers of social housing in relation to the types of tenancies they will offer when delivering and letting accommodation in the authority’s district.

Registered Providers are also expected to produce and publish their own Tenancy Policy which will provide further information on areas including the types of tenancies offered, the renewal of tenancies and the level of rent.

The four district councils in Bucks (Aylesbury Vale, Chiltern, South Bucks and Wycombe) have worked on a joint tenancy strategy in order to adopt a consistent approach to the strategy across all four districts.

A copy of the strategy is available to download below.
