I have been accepted onto the Housing Register - how does it work?

Within each week there is a 5 day period when you can place a maximum of 3 bids for the advertised properties that you are interested in - this is called the ‘bidding cycle’. Each bidding cycle opens on a Thursday at 9am and closes the following Monday at 12 noon. This gives you a limited amount of time to think about the properties you would like to bid for, to consider the area in which the properties are located if you are not familiar with them, to consult with family and others including support workers and make arrangements for any help you might need with bidding and making your bid.

If you need help with bidding ask a friend, family member or support worker to help. The Choice Based Lettings Team at Buckinghamshire Council or staff at Fairhive (Formerly Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust, if you are registered with them, will be able to assist if you have no one to help you.

If you bid for a property you must ensure that you can be contacted, by phone or email. If you are successful and the property is ready to move into, the process can be very fast.  For new build properties it can take a bit longer because the homes are advertised before they are finsihed. If your contact details change please login to your account and go to 'My Details' to update your application. If we cannot get in touch with you promptly you may lose the offer of property. Please check your spam email regularly.
